Bio.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age. It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.
After a long ride of experimenting, he ended up with a bunch of tracks. “This sound will make me famous”; he thought. He went to different record companies and tried to sell his stuff, but the answers were always: “Please, close the door when you leave!”
So, Daniel went back to his small bedroom studio, made another bunch of tracks.

In 2006 he met Chris Reece, label owner of Unreleased Digital. All the years spent in his room producing his music finally paid off. Chris called Daniel only to ask him: “Where should I send the contract to?”
In April 2007, his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Shortly after, in June 2007, his follow up EP “I never Sleep / Essence” was released.

Unreleased Digital is until now his inhouse label where he puts out almost all of his songs.
But he also signed some tracks to Sultan’s label Harem Records, to Sebastian Ingrosso’s Label Refune Records, to Above & Beyond’s label AnjunaDeep or to EDX’s label PinkStar Records.

November 7th, 2008 Daniel Portman returned with his first regular artist album called “Twisted Memories – Poems in C-Minor”. Containing 9 of his top sellers in 2008 as well as 6 brand new tunes.

2009 begun like a firework for Daniel. “Open You Mind” was the first single out of the album, with remixes from Dinka, Stan Kolev or Shawn Mitiska. This package entered charts on all relevant download stores and remained there quit a while.
Together with his studio buddy Rino Cabrera he delivered “Sumatra” that was released in late April on his inhouse label “Unreleased Digital”. This smooth summer vibe track became well known in all major clubs.

His most recent work is “Port 4 – Exhale”. Daniel started this series in 2007 with “Port One”.
Port 4 includes for tracks in typically Daniel Portman style; progressive house beats mixed with tech house sounds, that’s what he’s known and loved for.

Bio


Kled Mone lives in Thessaloniki-Greece. His love for music started in the age of 10 wheh he was taking guitar lessons from his father which gave him the first steps.

Later in 2002 Kled Mone started playing as a Dj at local cafe bars of his town.His interest about electronic music was now a fact.After 3 years he played for his first time in front of 600 people in a dance festival with Progressive rythms and grooves, which took place in Ydrogeios Club at Thessaloniki.

Now he knew that his Dj sets makes people dance and move all night long,so he started his carrer as a Dj.As a dj Kled Mone has played at many clubs of his Hometown and Country, but also he played as a Guest Dj at Amnesia Club in Kumanovo-Skopje which was a great experience for him, cause he had to entertain 1500 people all night.The party was Great and he was invited again to play as a Guest Dj.

His Dj Sets are combined with Techno, Progressive House and House grooves.According to him he sais that he trys to keep his sets with different styles and music every time he plays.

At 2006 Kled Mone started to learn more about Producing and Programming music cause he took classes at Music Technology and sound engineering School.His knowledge about music and producing was now complete. He, creates dark and melancholic chords at his tracks.He trys to avoid the standart ideology of songs, providing to his tracks the difference.

"Swedish love" was first released at beatport by solid fabric rec.

After that the remix "Do it better" has been released at May 9 2008 by Cleptomania Rec

"Dark show" was also released recently by SFR including Evans -T remix.

Forthcoming Releases are Songs like "When the night Falls"/SFRrec "forever more",SFRrec "dark show"SFRrec and "November 8"SFRrec ,by Solid Fabric Rec wich are influenced by dark rhythms and chords..

Dj Nikko.Z was born in 1985,in Trikala ,in Greece. Nikko.Z had his first musical influence by his brother who played classic guitar.His preferences as far as music concerned were mainly rock ballads by groups like Pink Floyd and Jim Morrison who directed him listening to electronic dance music and thinking seriously working on this kind of music.But mainly he ows his endless desire for music technology to the djs and producers Sasha and Digweed who were the reason of opening his mind,as they were and still are his exemplar. After that of course, was extremely interested in progressive sounds. At the age of 16 started djiing in several clubs and coffee bars,initially in order to earn his livings but later this hobby was evolved in a real love for the electronic music.Consequently , due to his passion decided also to produce his own tracks. In 2006 he frequented the SAE college international institute in Athens,and he successfully graduated in ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION. In the summer of the 2006 he took part in the dj competition of the ELECTROFIELD DANCE FESTIVAL and he took the first place. The last two years makes his own productions in his own home studio that is fully equipped by the highest technologically gadgets which help him to consummate his tracks. He teams up with Soundtribe Records(US), Ocean Drive Records(US), Soho Music Movement(GR) and Stripped Records (EN) which trusted him and released his tracks. As a worried spirit ,he fends for the music of his city ,so he provides the audients of a local radio station with the newest releases and fresh tracks through his radio show.At times,about once a month, on an internet radio station , WWW.DANCERADIO.GR.he presents his work as a dj. CLUBS where he has played as a guest: Greece: Sugar (SERRES) Danza Club, Floral Prive Bar, Open Bar & Loop Club (ATHENS) Hola club , Privilige club, Splice bar , Saga summer, My Club , 7 summer club, Bon Touch , Berlin Underground Bar (TRIKALA) and other more… And abroad:Pasha open air (ROMANIA,GALATI)where the number of the crowd was over 1,500 people..you can see video @ Youtube.

TONY SLICER (a.k.a NIO GOTSI)

Tony Slicer was born in Thessaloniki of Greece 31 years ago. From very early age music was his only interest and on 1990 decided to go to music school to learn percussions and drums. Although he was fascinated and motivated from electronic music following and being on parties from 1992 influenced from the early house period, so on 1995 decided to get into the electronic scene. He became captivated with DJ-ing .
In 1998 he moved to UK working with many influential artists DJ-ing. Later in 2000 he attended the Steinberg school of Manchester's Midi School in UK. This shaped the necessary and harsh elements to create his technical, tight and minimal style. He has acknowledged for his flawless in your face sound of deep, tech and minimal house.

Since 2002 he has resided in Greece and for the last 5 years he has been producing his own tracks. He is under the label Annihilated Records , Maltese Record Label Algophobia records, on 2005 started a corporation with german record label Dark Force Recordings.
Moreover in 2006 his track Masochist has been released on New York's record label Matame.
He's tracks can be described by minimal, deep, dark rhythms with warm frequencies and under the influences of minimal electronic music sounds.
He has been playing along with artists like Phonique, Dave Clarke, Paul Mac, Gen 6, Thomas P.Heckmann, Balthazar, Yemo, Versus, Smooke, Alex Makee, Frank Kvitta, Mhonolog, Nilux, killswitch, Leo Laker vs. Tomash Gee, Weichentechnikk vs. Waldhaus, Matt M. Maddox, Mario Ranieri, Spark, Schrett, Hilarious, Dennis Cohn and so many others…

Depeche Mode Remix Contest !

If it wasn’t for Depeche Mode, electronic music might be very different. The English group’s innovation in the studio, particularly with their use of samplers, has influenced electronic music in uncountable ways.

The three pioneers of techno - Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins, regularly cited Depeche Mode as an influence when they were experimenting with Detroit techno in the mid 1980s, and Depeche Mode are often named by today’s leading DJs and electronic music artists as key influencers.

No other band of their stature has commissioned so many dance music producers to remix their work. The list so far includes Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, UNKLE, Paul van Dyk, Ricardo Villalobos, Booka Shade, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Michael Mayer, Rex The Dog, Ewan Pearson, Plastikman, Speedy J, Orbital, Blackstrobe, Underworld and Boys Noize.

The band’s connection to electronic music is more than just influence, it helped to give it a beating heart. That makes a Depeche Mode remix contest something special, and for the first time ever, the band have agreed to let the public remix one of their songs officially.

BIO:

Christos Fourkis was born on the 12th of January 1981 in Aigio, Greece. Music has always been a part of his life since childhood.

His passion and appreciation for music, lead Christos into the world of Dj’ing introducing new and diverse musical innovations to his crowd. He started Dj’ing in the early period of 1997 performing in local clubs. His DJ appearances have been loved and respected nationally and now internationally by performing on many well-known Internet radio stations.

The year of 1998 Christos Fourkis entered the world of producing electronic music. He purchased his first personal computer and analogue hardware to start composing his own electronic music. Professionally, Christos has been producing for 4 years and his first productions received a very good response from very well known and established artists. Currently, he has started his first batch of remixes and also looking for other artists to work with and share his passion for music.

Self-taught, Christos Fourkis has always followed his heart towards his goals to create genuine, impassioned music. Throughout the years of practicing and exploration, he has refined his sound engineering as well as his mastering sound techniques.

His dream and ambition is to express his feelings and make people understand his music when he is on the Decks.
